As in Australia and New Zealand, FeeSynergy's monthly payment option is a fully integrated feature of the APS practice management system which is used by a large number of UK's leading accounting firms. FeeSynergy is available to both accounting and legal firms.

APS wins UK Accountancy Age 2008 award.

Extract from AA announcement…a momentous battle between three practice management titans saw APS prove victorious for this year’s award. The judges said there were ‘three good entries’, but were swayed towards APS by the quality of their clients’ comments. The closely fought competition saw both Iris and CCH being highly praised for their testimonials and technologies, but ‘APS is challenging the home market’, said one judge. ‘It’s innovative and fleet of foot, with a client service ethos,’ said another.

Congratulations to APS on another highly successful conference. 250+ delegates along with APS staff from Australia and NZ and sponsors Reckon, Interwoven and FeeSynergy celebrated APS Australia’s 10 year anniversary (17 since commencement in NZ) in fine style. FeeSynergy’s stand was well visited and many firms either signed up during the conference or expressed interest in doing so over the coming weeks. Congratulations to the following who won the FeeSynergy prize draws: Sony Handycam; Brad Seeber (WHK Armitage Downie), Samsung Digital Camera; Paul Barber (Bentleys mri) and Alice Roberts (M&S Accounting Services)

FeeSynergy’s Top 10 credit management tips for accountants.

  • Have a clearly documented credit policy which is understood and supported by all partners and staff.
  • 7 or 14 day credit terms.
  • Employ professional credit management staff and empower them accordingly.
  • There are only Current and Overdue debtors – 30,60,90 days sends the wrong message to clients.
  • Make sure Clients are aware of your credit terms and be consistent when dealing with them.
  • Payment Due Dates should be shown clearly on Invoices.
  • Phone follow up of outstanding payments within 3 days of due date. Very important, send an Email to the client restating what has been agreed / negotiated. Repeat the process if payment not received within the agreed timeframe and advise the relevant Partner/s.
  • Do not offer instalment payment plans without adding service fees or charges. You are rewarding slow payers and giving them an effective discount.
  • Do offer FeeSynergy as the only instalment option. This is a ‘user pays’ service which is free to you.
  • Last but by no means least; before engaging with a client, do some due diligence to ensure that you actually want them as a client.

The directors of FeeSynergy are delighted to announce that APS has been appointed its exclusive agent in NZ. FeeSynergy MD Malcolm Ebb said “We had been looking to establish our own office in Auckland for sometime but had been unsuccessful in finding suitable business development staff. As our facility is for the exclusive use of APS clients it became obvious that APS would be the perfect agent to establish and grow the business in NZ. APS management agreed saying that FeeSynergy was an important part of their strategy to assist clients to improve practice efficiencies.”

Banks Group first to go-live!

Congratulations to Melbourne based Banks Group on being the first accounting firm in Australia to implement the FeeSynergy facility within their APS practice management system. Prior to going live Banks Group provided valuable design feedback and beta support; the end result being a very user friendly solution.

Banks Group Partner Franc Marino was the driving force behind the firm’s decision to provide their clients with this innovative and value added service. The firm is providing the FeeSynergy monthly payment option to all clients on invoices greater than $2,000. On rolling out the new service General Manager Tim Ling said “The firm has for sometime been actively using FeeSynergy in its credit control department; our clients clearly appreciate the option to fund their bills over 6 or 12 months. This new automated facility will benefit many of our clients whilst assisting the firm to further improve on its lock-up position. A true win-win situation.”

A rapidly growing number of APS user firms are now following in Banks’ footsteps. Given APS’ significant share of the accounting market in Australia and New Zealand, FeeSynergy’s directors predict that the monthly payment funding option will become industry standard within 2-3 years.
